Privacy Policy
🛡️ Plain English Summary
MicMorph processes 100% of your audio locally on your Mac in real time. We do not record, store, transmit, or analyze your voice. Your audio never leaves your computer.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Your privacy is the core architectural principle of MicMorph:
- No Audio Streaming: Your microphone input and processed audio are never sent to external servers or cloud services.
- No Voice Recording: MicMorph does not save audio files or voice prints to disk.
- No Account Required: You can download and use MicMorph completely anonymously without creating an account or providing an email address.
- No Third-Party Analytics: We do not embed trackers, advertising SDKs, or third-party behavioral analytics in the app.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Mac
MicMorph stores a minimal configuration file locally on your device in your user directory (~/Library/Application Support/com.micmorph.desktop/). This file contains only:
- Your last selected voice preset (e.g., Subtle, Medium, Deep, Deepest).
- Your chosen input microphone device name.
- A daily usage counter to track your daily free time limit (resets every 24 hours).
This data is strictly local and is never uploaded anywhere.
3. Third-Party Virtual Audio Driver (BlackHole)
MicMorph utilizes BlackHole, an open-source virtual audio driver created by Existential Audio Inc., to route audio between applications on macOS. BlackHole runs locally on your Mac kernel and does not connect to the internet or collect any data.
4. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
